Education & Connection
Strengthening Community and Understanding Across the Development Sector
AidTA’s communication support in 2025 provided weekly updates on the impact of the loss of USAID and the weakening of the global development ecosystem. We have shifted in 2026 to nonpartisan education initiatives and strengthening community connection. AidTA’s two grassroots partners, The OneAID Community and Aid On The Hill Education grew out of a movement to connect the development community and provide resources for engagement.
OneAID was created in February 2025 and has become the “one stop shop” for resources and currently has 11,850 members with a 19% increase in just the month of October. OneAID members engage in everything from digital storytelling to share the impact of their development work to providing mini-grants of just a few hundred dollars to state- and local-level teams to build connections and strategize on educating local elected officials on the importance of development.
Aid On The Hill Education is a nonpartisan initiative founded in February 2025 focused on research, civic education, and nonpartisan learning initiatives that deepen understanding of how U.S. development and humanitarian programs operate and why they matter. In 2026, Aid On The Hill is training a national network of aid professionals on how to engage more effectively with their communities and elected representatives, developing accessible materials that demystify how U.S. international assistance works and its impact on America’s future, and empowering citizens to champion U.S. global leadership through evidence-based discourse about international assistance.
